Power Quality Analysis & Monitoring

Advanced Measurement Solutions for Accurate, Reliable Electrical Performance

_________

“Power Quality” is a term increasingly used by utilities and medium to large power consumers. Although voltage and frequency stability have always been important, modern demands have shifted the definition of “constant voltage.” Energy-efficient technologies, the widespread use of electronic loads, and the rise of sensitive electronic equipment have increased the impact of voltage deviations, especially when large loads are added.

AMP performs energy verification measurements on existing energy billing meters by installing a calibrated meter in parallel, using external current transformers to verify billing accuracy.

AMP operates 30 advanced recorders capable of performing multiple measurements simultaneously, including load and harmonic assessments. These units use external current transducers, allowing installation without breaking into the current circuit—no outage required. Measurements can be performed on HT and MV panels using existing VTs and CTs, while LV networks can be monitored using external CTs.

The following parameters can be recorded simultaneously:

  • Voltage regulation

  • Current profiles

  • Voltage unbalance profile

  • Voltage Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)

  • Individual voltage harmonics

  • Individual current harmonics

  • All power-related profiles

  • Positive phase sequence

  • Negative phase sequence
